Re: Fountain pens

The first thing that entered my head this morning after a rough night with a poorly toddler, was put sublimation ink into a fountain pen. The idea is to put a signature (backwards) onto transfers or maybe do some freehand drawing.

Anyone tried this or know if the ink would have the right consistency for a pen? Don't actually have a pen to try it.

Would it be easier just to do a freehand drawing on paper and the just scan the image to the computer

I'd thought about that, but don't have a scanner.

To view links or images in signatures your Beer count must be 10 pints or greater. You have currently drunk 15 pints!.

Or, you can get wax crayons and felt-tips made for sublimation

A cheap graphics tablet will do the trick and allow you to draw directly onto your artwork. Simple then to change the style/colour/stroke etc. Using a camera would be a bit tedious. Tablet is also a very useful tool for editing so £20-£30 investment would be worthwhile.
