My infra red thermometer doesn't work with my heatpress. I read about temperature test strips or heat probes.

The only temperature test strips I can see are dishwasher ones, and heat probes are food heat probes. Are these suitable or should I be looking for something else?
Thanks

Thanks ArferMo. sadly when I logged in the item is out of stock but it gives me some idea of what to look for. Many thanks.

Managed to buy almost the exact same thing from a UK seller. Thanks again, I didn't have a clue what to buy. Here's hoping I know how to use it when it arrives lol

They work really well and are super accurate.

Mine arrived this morning. Being an old biddy I knew nothing about these things. It's like magic lol I can take the temperature of anything which I have been doing - think child with new toy or immature adult.

Will get around to using it for it's intended purpose at some point, checking my heatpress.

Thanks again for your help.

Just got one, impressed at first, then realised that even after 2 minutes adjusting, it was far away from what my adkins presses say.....
Just curious to know how you can say it is 'super accurate'?
I cannot test it in boiling water, so how can I tell it is anywhere near correct?

Do you have an infra red thermometer or something hot 150c to 250c that you know the temperature of with some degree of accuracy. Many heat presses even supposedly good named ones are often well off the temperature that they say on the readout.
