Re: What have I done wrong using flock?

What a disaster! I used Pro Flock from MDP, when I tried to peel it the backing tore in half and where it tore
I have one part with the nice flock effect and the other which looks like it has some sticky residue on top of it.
So annoyed I didnt pay a lot of attention as to which way I peeled it so I am not sure if the sticky part was the
bit I started with.
I dont think its a heat issue as other areas are fine, its just this one part that had the backing tear away
Any one has any ideas I really don't want it to happen again.

You had it to hot.
You peeled it when still to hot.

this is my guess.
if you still have some glue on the flock then put it under heat press again. it make it flatter but residue should disappear.

Sounds like Paul is right. Flock is best peeled stone cold IMO. Best thing to do is to test this theory with a couple of small off cuts and press them on an old top. Good luck.

thanks I wondered if it was a heat issue, it wasn't warm but also wasn't exactly stone cold I did try putting it back in press nothing changed, if anything it possibly made it appear a bit worse

when you re press it you will have to do it without carrier bit.
