I'm off to see somebody with a chain of shops this afternoon, He wants someone to look after his windows (and has a couple of vans to have written, but I have Vans sussed price wise) - by 'Look After' I mean installing vinyl and keeping it updated with his new stock as and when.

In the first instance, with a clean window I was considering pricing it as I usually do everything else - Calculate actual cost and treble it ! I wonder if this could work out well with windows or would I be doing myself out of money ? The reason I ask is because I may be missing something obvious - I havent had a job like this before.. I'm certainly not lacking in confidence, I just dont want to be too confident on price though and price myself out.

Does he want it pricing per each job of changing the window, or does he want a regular fixed fee - eg: of £x per month with y changes of the window per year, with an additional cost of £z per window outside of those terms.
As it is ongoing, do you want to cost is as separate tasks...
1. creation of vinyl = £x
2. installation of vinyl = £y
3. removal of vinyl = £z

Thanks Tim, This is the kind of answer I was after - something to think about.

When I go over there I at least want to sound like I know what I am talking about :)
