If you're currently using Dropbox you'll no doubt already know this but for those who don't.............

I pay $10 per month for a 100Gb storage, great for customers sharing artwork, storing files to work on in different locations and so on. Dropbox have now increased the storage ten fold and are now offering 1Tb for the same $10 per month! As soon as I heard they were upgrading I emailed to see what the score was......24 hours later I'd been upgraded automatically anyway :-)

Yes, I know there are cheaper services and we've discussed on here before but, anyone who's tried a few will tell you, Dropbox takes some beating for ease of use.

Not very often you can post something positive like this where you're getting ten times the value! Lol,. I've gone from having 50% free to 95% free....must upload more files!

Why doesn't dropbox share files between computers instantly? I save my excel document full of orders in the office, go into the work room and want access to those files, but they are never updated. I have to use my network to access the same document instead.

I share files on DropBox between a number of computers and tablets.

Part of the delay is the time for the files to upload to the DropBox server - dependent on the speed of your Internet connection. Remember, on most connections, upload is far slower than download.

The other thing though, is that sometimes I have not enabled 'syncing' on all my devices. The ones that I forgot to sync don;t 'see' the new files on the server. And sometimes syncing annoys me when it takes forever to read, so I do have it off a lot.

This might not be the answer in your case, but it has been in mine. Most likely just the server connection speed to and from you though.

An example is sometimes I can email something to myself and it is in my email inbox as soon as I open it. Other times I can wait quite a while for it to appear if Google servers are busy. I click refresh every now and then, but nothing - then suddenly it is there.
