Ok guy's I'm looking to get another mug press (stand-a-lone) as the one I use now has to be attached to the press,
I know if I asked whats the best etc... Adkins would be the most popular answer
But looking around there's so many to choose from,
I dont want one that's not going to do the job but I dont want to spend £400 on something I only use now and again
Coral5 ? anyone got one, are they any good? or the DF1+ maybe!

...and DSF members get these at an even more reduced price! I may be accused of being biased so I'd better let others comment on the DF1+ :)

Hi Scotty. I have both a coral4 and a DF1+ which I purchased a couple of weeks ago. All of the Coral presses (except 1) use the same internal elements so it is purely the look of the press which is different (coral told me that). It is great for 10/11oz but cannot do other sizes. The coral4 has no idle temperature so you let it get to say 190 and then put a mug in, let it do it's magic and then take out BUT you need to wait until it heats back up to 190 again before another mug is put in. The DF1+ from BMS I find has the advantage of idle temperature and when you put in a mug it heats to your chosen temp (say 170) before it counts down. When finished you can put a blank mug in straight away and it will heat to temp before automatically counting down. Also the DF1+ can have other wraps bought making it more versatile. If you want one press then DF1+ first but Coral4 great as mug press so you can do bulk orders using both at same time.

We prefer a press that stays at the same temperature (i.e. no idle temp) so we can just throwing mugs through them

Cheers guy's for the input
To be honest the idle temperature thing wouldn't really bother me as the most I do is 3 or 4 at a time (if that) so waiting for the temp to rise is no issue!
Still not 100% on what do get and it two minds to sell my clam and small swing press and get a bigger swing press

If that's an Adkins versa swing away you are are offloading I might buy that off you. As for mug presses, the Listawood Genie, the £65 Signzworld press have all been recommended by folks on here. I have a collection of signzworld and Adkins presses, they all work fine.

Yep! but to be fair if a Stobart wagon hadn't of turned over on it's side it would of been a 2 hour round trip, sat in traffic for 2 hours untill a crane came to lift it off the road....was worth the trip over to Wales for the ££ I saved.
