hi all need to do some colour changing mugs i did one but you can still see the pic when cup goes back to black i have got to be doing somthing wrong hope you can help
im useing a [h=2]DF1+ Genius Mug Press got a 3d press if thats better[/h]

The "black" coating is more dark grey and very thin on these. I'm afraid your doing nothing wrong its what happens. Using a light image helps.

There are some colour changing mugs with a much darker, very black coating on them. Unfortunately due to trademarks/ patents it's not possible to sell them in the UK/ Europe! The WOW mugs are indeed a dark grey/ black and the images aren't fully obscured when cold, but they do have a WOW effect when they do get hot :)

Not sure about those specifically but they so tend to be the 11oz versions from China.

So, is it that the Chinese ones which are better are infringing on the patent behind the WOW mugs?

You said that these mugs couldn't be sold in UK due to patent problems - I'm just interested in who has what patent claim I suppose.
