i have been looking for a multi mug press for fine china mugs. I am looking to produce multiple china printed mugs at a time.
I have a 5 mug press at the moment for ceramic mugs but the company i purchased it from don't provide blankets/wraps for fine china mugs.
Does this type of press exist.......
Help...im going round in circles.....

5 separate standalone presses on a work bench ... this is how we do it ... I can't see what advantage a single machine would give over this.

One controller for all five presses Pisquee, its also what I use. When I have been really really busy I have added two singles to the mix but it ends up a bit of a nightmare with so many controllers.

With regards to the OP, if your supplier of the press does not sell them you will have a bit of a problem. But who is the supplier as it might be that they do sell the correct thing but call it something different.

I don't like the single controller from the point of view of having all your eggs in one basket, and I like that each press is running to its own time, and the pressing is like a cascade - you get into a rhythm and it works quite well with one press after another.

Totally get that and I suppose its whatever you get used to. I agree about the eggs/basket but then again, been running this one for well over 10 years now and still working :-)

To answer your question, no there is no multi mug press especially for thinner china mugs. You would need to buy a number of presses and buy separate blankets.

It is possible to get a 5 in 1 mug press to do either 5 standard mugs at a time or to
do 5 taller/ thinner mugs at a time :). They are made.

I stand corrected, but do you end up with ten blankets?

That could be an option. You can get this with the 5 standard blankets (as discussed here) or supplied with the 5 thicker blankets for doing the thinner mugs. You could even go for the standard item and then 5 extra thicker blankets to swap over but I don't think the electric connections necessarily make that a quick change over.

A lot of presses are made up of standard parts, so you'd just need to find a supplier who has all the relevant parts in their inventory who can give you a price on making up the system you want.
