Hi Everyone

As mentioned in my previous post i am in the process of offering personalised Acrylic Keyrings to customers alongside our mugs. This week i have purchased a small quantity of 50mm x 35mm blanks and also bought software for creating keyrings. My problem is the software is set up for the size mentioned and prints out spot on but the blank insert on investigation is more like 51mm x 36mm. Is this common? Do i have a bad batch of blanks? As far as i am aware the software does not let me adjust the template size. Thanks for any help. Cheers Gareth

If you have keyring creator 2 you can adjust the size, but there is no need to the extra size makes sure of full coverage.

Hi Reg, Thanks for your reply. Yes i have keyring creator 2. When i print out they are spot on (35mm x 50mm) but when fitted into the blank they are slightly too small on all sides. Approx 1mm which makes aligning up the front and back tricky (you sometimes see white from the paper on opposite side) How do you adjust sizes in keyring creator? Thanks again, much appreciated

When I open mine I click on c1 template and it shows the size on the left near the bottom c1 should show 52.5 x 37.4,are you using pre cut paper and is it correct size because mine fit in quite tight,to keep them together you could stick them together with a prit stick.

Hi Reg, Thanks for your reply. That's brilliant, i can see where they can be adjusted now so thanks very much. No not using the pre cut paper yet but may order some soon to give a go. Do you recommend the pre cut paper? Also do you buy your blanks from same supplier as the pre cut paper? This morning i have measured the blank insert and it is 51mm x 36mm hence the reason for my printed inserts looking slightly too small once in the keyring. Good idea with the prit stick! Cheers

I have a punch for the 35mm x 45mm ones it's the cheap one from here http://www.pc3721.co.uk/photo-punches-13-c.asp but its not easy to use so I intend to get one of these which is more expensive but easier to use this link is the cheapest I've found

We have been major suppliers of the printed acrylic keyrings for many years now and have tried the punches and the the precut paper. Both added time/cost to orders and it is far easier to cut with a steady hand. The keyring sizes do vary and we stick to the one supplier now, as their service is great and size never a problem.
I also find it easier to use basic publisher for the insert printing, as you can adjust and sort as required.
