Hi Guys
What is the spray glue called that people use to hold dye sub paper in place on garments?
I know some of you use it so presumably it works.

Hi Benn
So its just a standard spray glue, presumably only a lite dusting is needed.

No not standard,
You want to make sure it is repositionable and does not have yellowing/staining,
Some folk on the forum use 3M spray but I yet to try this spray so I can not give my views.
A light spray does the job

Sorry Benn, what I meant is that it is not specially formulated for Dye Sub.
I think I have some £m knocking around Purple so will give it a try

Yes, 3M Scotchweld 75 spray is a repositionable spray adhesive, but made for work where high levels of heat are involved, so not specific to dye-sub but is designed with industries like ours in mind.
You can buy stuff that is branded as being for dye-sub, but than likely it is just generic stuff with another label on, and more expensive than it should be because it says sublimation on the label.
I'd be wary of using a spray that isn't intended for high temperature work.
In terms of usage, just a very light mist of spray - hold the can far from the fabric or paper, which ever is easier for you to spray, so that the spray spreads over a wide area - use too much and it can leave residue or just be really hard to get the transfer paper off the fabric.
We tend to use a bit more on the leading edge which will feed into the rotary press to help get it in, and then the press tends to pull it all together anyway - the Inktec transfer paper we use is slightly tacky in itself which also helps.

Madiera and Gunold do a spray for exactly this job.
Or a screen print supplier will have spray to hold the t-shirt to the platten as it prints.

Another one here for 3m Scotchweld 75. Probably the best value for the money item I buy.
