Hi

ive been doing sub and inkjet canvasses, transfers for a while, sub with my a4 rico sg3110dn and transfers and with my epson 4800. I am really happy with the results of the sub prints for tshirts and other items but really want to go bigger with the tshirts. As space is a factor I'm thinking of converting my epson 4800 to hybrid so i can still print canvasses and the inkjet transfers but go bigger with the sub. I have read that multirip hybrid is needed and a flushing kit and the inks but cant find prices anywhere for multirip or any alternatives. Can anybody help with a list of whats needed and prices or a supplier of the needed kit?

MultiRip for the 4800 is $850USD, and can be bought and downloaded direct from their website here: http://www.multirip.com/hybridrip.html

If space wasn't an issue, that $850 dollars could buy you another used 17" printer instead

MultiRIP may be able to run it as dual CMYK

Dual CMYK would be two sets of CMYK ink to run it as only 4 colour, but you may be better just getting a 4 colour version of the printer. Although don't write off using the other channels, as having the extra colours does give better prints.

Is there no chance of doing this without multirip or am I better off just buying a second printer

9 litres of sublimation ink ... but who's ink?
Be careful buying unbranded/unlicensed ink, when there's good known brand licensed ink available.
I would advise having seperate printers, you will see better sublimation prints using more than just CMYK anyways.
