Hi guys
Hope you are having a good bank holiday.
need a bit of advise,i am looking at a item on ebay,its quite a large item and i would like it picked up by a courier.
The item is in boreham wood.its a dj flightcase not sure of weight.
who do you recomend for pickup.

try someoje like p4d they are courier agents with pretty good prices

If it's particularly big and heavy, might be worth looking at one of these bid for your business sites. I got my Adkins collected from London, delivered quickly to Aberdeen for a really good price, fully insured...heck of a size box! They bid on your business and out do each other.

Hi stuart, when I bought bulky items off ebay I used anyvan. Com. You post the ebay item link and then you will get sent individual quotes from anyone who can pick up and deliver when you want. All the couriers have feedback which is provided by previous users. I've only used ones with good feedback and have never had any problems. The last thing I bought was a big chair to come from london to penrith. It all went well. Hope this helps.

Chap at work has had a motorbike delivered using Anyvan and is arranging a car delivery as well, speaks highly of them so second that post!

I would make sure the seller is ok with you sending a courier first.
Ive found many wont let you on collection items, as they are not covered if things go wrong and it gets damaged.

If it's a flightcase, then it will need to be in cardboard if sending with a box/package courier, as they see the flightcase as packaging and so not covered by their insurance which only covers the contents, whereas if it's in card then the case becomes the contents.

That said, if it's big and heavy, I'd be asking for it to be strapped to a pallet, and getting a pallet courier to collect it.

....if it was me I'd be looking at going and fetching it, that way you know it's going to be transported safely

Off topic a bit, but you reminded me - I still have 2x Matin Roboscan 804's in a custom made flight case I no longer need if interested ?

I think I broke both of the mirrors but they are easily replaced.
