Listening to pm on radio 4 this evening one story was that ebay say that all users should change their password. Apparently hacker got hold of ebay employees log on details and were able to access some customer details.

I can well imagine the sheer number of *huge* global lawsuits this will cause from governments to large sellers to everyone else who sells on ebay (I believe sales for eBay are down quite dramatically in the last week). Wonder who will have to cough up for his major screw up. Oh that's right... eBay sellers.

I changed mine as soon as the news broke... then when I went to do my daily stats yesterday my session had expired and they asked me to log in again. Of course, as is the nature of these things, I couldn't remember my new password and had to reset it again. Now, this morning, I've had to do it again. The problem with having hundreds of clients where you need to remember server passwords, SSH passwords, mail server passwords and sometimes even their back end passwords for them (one client repeatedly calls me to ask what his password is, even though it's his son's name with no transformed characters)... is that I have no room in my head for my own.

I imagine I'll have to reset it again tomorrow.
