Anyone know how these people on ebay have added their designs to products so they look like they've printed the design on the item which I'm assuming they haven't as that would be a waste of stock. Here's one

I have CorelDraw X6, do I convert the bitmap to a vector and then powerclip the design into the white part of the sublimation product?
Thanks
Lianne

Hi Lianne,
You have probably got it sussed by now but if not...
Use the 'bezier tool' to trace around the area required then adjust the 'nodes' 'curves' etc then power clip your image into place, adjust to suit from there.

Hi Benn
Thanks, the bezier tool looks quite complicated, is that the only way to do it?

Lianne,
I would say it is the easiest and give you the best results.
Here is Youtube link to a tutorial, There are loads but here is one i have quickly picked out.
Grab a coffee..
Link here
There are mock up tools that do the job for you via photoshop. However it advisable to learn how to use the Beziar tool, You can use it for so many things and you'll then be able to vectorise etc. Handy if you get a job for i.e 100 sports bags and the customer provides a small pixelatted logo or company emblem and need to be re-created.

the bezier curve is essential learning for any sort of vector messing around with. I am still trying to learn it!

Hi, sorry to bring up an old thread but was wondering how you can do what I asked in my first post in photoshop? I tried using the warp tool but the result isn't perfect and took me ages. I ideally want a quick solution which isn't going to take me ages on each product? i.e I have a product, lets say the pencil case above but have say 20 or so designs so don't really want to be spending ages on each individual one? any ideas?
Thanks
Lianne

Import picture of he bag/garment/whatever. If you are working with vectors use the envelope and perspective tools to manipulate the objects to the shape you want. If you have multiple objects group them first. If bitmaps need distorting use tools in PotoPaint. I don't think there is a quick fix but with a little practice it wouldn't take long
