ok, I am making listings just for exposure - I know of the issues with ebay and them being biased toward the buyer far too much.

I made a listing with shandard text as default with the view of making an html template and using that template for all of my listings for uniformity - so, happy with my template I go back to my listing and edit - make the changes and 'Submit'.. at this point I get a message about EU regs and informing me that I need to upgrade my account to a Business Accout - ok, let's do it.

But NO, Computer say's No.

I go to my account page - click the 'Edit' button next to my account status where I should be able to change but I get this message:

You cannot change your account type because you do not have a seller account.

Well, I clearly have a seller account as I have a listing so I am now stuck - catch 22.

As we speak I am on eBay's helpful 'Chat' system speaking to an operative - this is operative No8 so far..

I know the way this will end - they will eventually say:

"We will have to refer this to our Technical department who will look into your issue - Goodbye" and from then that's it - nothing from them at all.

This has been going on for days.

Open another account, you are allowed more than one.

No it has nothing to do with the type of paypal account you have.

I have a proper paypal account, they were referring to the type of ebay account. I finally got it sorted but they will never admit their system is at fault.

they made the change for me in the end.

the chat agents dont usually understand the problems you are having as the system is 'perfect' - nothing is perfect.
