that us finished with them.....
total shambles of a service...

you have to make your order up..and then you have to email or phone it in for them to confirm, so we can print out the order complete sheets
and put them in the bags before we seal them.

4 sodding times they have let us down in the last 6 weeks...by not answering / confirming emails or answering there phones...
oh our emails were down...WHY NOT TELL US THEN

last one was last friday there..off all days...that meant customers orders who bought on thurs/fri were not sent till monday..

that was the last straw for us....
phoned up pitney bowles on monday there, signed up for a new DM50 franking machine...delivered withing 2 days, even got a free logo design to
go next to the mail price....great advertising for us...got that free and it also has our return address next to that as well, so no more money spent on labels for our dymos thermal printers ;-)....
ink is only £5.95 delivered ( compatible ) PB wanted £49 ffs !

so..no more having to email some halfwits who dont even consider there customers one jot....top up DM 50 MACHINE £300 at a time, ( £6.85 per top up ) thats why you top up in bulk....when we got orders ready for post..bring up delivery method on machine...fire in jiffy bag...swish and its printed direct onto the jiffy
pop into the red 1st class mailing bags and job done.
should have done this last yr....no hassle or fuss..just GREAT !!

we got special deal £9.99 + vat pm on a 12mth rolling contract (normally £19.99)
add money to machine in bulk as its £6.85 every time you top up....so top up enough to last 3/4 weeks.
they dont take the money out your bank right away either....they send invoice out every month, then payment is taken by D/D for amount you topped up by over the month.
just means you have to keep an eye what you have topped on, as its not your £300/400 quid thats sitting in your bank.

we also got full maintenance and service charges incl, and also the update every yr when RM fire up there prices ( normally £60) free as well.
if it breaks, they send new one out next day (mon-fri)

package to good to say no to...after the shambles with OBA - life is one thing less to stress out about....means we can do orders right up until 5pm....our post is picked up around5.30pm..where as before with oba, we had to stop orders & phone it in around the 2pm or you just in case there email were down or they didnt answer the dam phone....to confirm your order - bugger that, we got enough dam stress with the 2 store to have this on top...

OBA for us is done on the website. Its very easy. Never had an issue.

For us franking machines are far too expensive.

£12 pm to expensive ??? ink is £5.85 per cart...should last average 2/3 mths pending how busy one is...
£6.85 to to up every time...but like i said, top up up in bulk £300+....
less hassle...no form to fill in with daft codes for this n that...no separate bags for 1st / 2nd / international ect...

horses for coures....just fits out business better i suppose

Sounds like an odd system and not like our OBA at all, we log in, whack in the average weight and qty and confirm and print.

As for bag colours - grey, red, blue, green and even US postal service bags RM have acquired all go the same, its the tag colour that counts. Green for second and red for first!

hi smo...
found out today why we having a mare of a time with OBA, after a long confab ...apparently we failed the credit check
no bugger told us we failed anything..why we had to phone every day and put order in and add money every month via the "pre-paid team"
i thought that was how it was done....and everyone was raving about it...and i going, what a crock of ****, cant get through on phone, they dont always answer emails to confirm orders.things were not reliable for a business..

if we failed a credit check, then how come we got the pitney bowles deal with payments taken 52 days later ? and also got 12 contract set up via d/d.
and other discounts ect set up via credit

funny that...we got house, 4 vehicles ( 3 work 1 personal ) 2 credit cards with full balance on each, cleared every month..store cards, cataloge ect ALL cleared every month....
what piss;s me right off is NO ONE told us any different.....still stick by my SHAMBLES !...
anyway, we on the right road now....so much better us being in control of when WE want to send mail and NOT goveraned by trying to email or phone some team that clearly have not a bit of interest in there customers..
