Hey guys,

Can anyone please explain 4c process in English please. I've been asked to print some mugs with the 4c Process. I've Googled it but can't really get the explaination that is plain and clear and if i can sublimation print. All i know its a term for CYMK.

4c (4 colour) is usually a shorthand for CMYK. If you are printing on a printer using sub inks it will probably be CMYK. Some printers may be 6 colour (CYMK + 2 other colours, sometimes an extra black, or light cyan or light magenta) all the way up to 9 colour (CYMK, plus others including but not limited to light black, photo black, grey, light cyan, light magenta, light yellow etc). If you are printing, it will be CMYK - unless its screenprinting which is usually specific colours (ie Red, or Reflex Blue depending on the colours in the printed graphic)

4c will be cmyk process.
if you print anything using screen printing you can prin with spot colors or cmyk. If cmyk, This mean you dont use spoted colors in design ie. blue green and red. You will be printing them from yellow first, cyan, magenta and then black as a last colour. N this method you can print any imge using only 4screens.

edit. 4 screens only if you print on white. If any other colour you would need 5th screen with white underbase.
