Well guys I bought 72 mugs from BMS yesterday, they arrived nice and early this morning

Just wanted to say how pleased I am with them, I opted for the European RN coated variety, done a couple of test prints and getting consistant result, so Thank you BMS

I believe, through many many years of using BMS mugs that they are without a doubt *the* best mugs to use without a doubt and I wouldn't use anyone else. I've tried many other places in the past due to a variety of causes (like BMS running out, or someone selling mugs that are a lot cheaper but promised BMS like quality) but I've found BMS are the best quality mug supplier around. I have nothing but good things to say about BMS mugs and will without hesitation recommend them to anyone.

That's very reassuring, this is only my first order with BMS, but I hope they will get a load more orders from me in the future.....just got to get out and sell now!!!!

Not that I'm saying that there's anything wrong with BMS' European mugs, which are very good and we have happily used them in the past, but I wouldn't say that any suppliers mugs were the best. I would say they compare favourably/equal to the other high quality mugs available from decent/big sublimation suppliers selling mugs at a similar price point (Novachome, Listawood, Xpres, Raja). You do get what you pay for, so you can't compare them to really cheap mugs other suppliers have, or what you can pick up from more bargain low-end box shifters on Ebay.
There is room in the market for lower priced and lower quality mugs, depending on what the use is. If it's a throwaway/give away promo thing then the cheaper the better, if it's to wholesale to John Lewis, or to sell as official merchandise for a big brand then you may want to look at spending at the higher end of the market.

I've bought from all of those suppliers in the past, and for one reason or another, I've always gone back to BMS. They are my first and only (unless BMS run out which they have done in the past) port of call for mugs.

I bought two boxes of thirty six mugs around 6 months ago when I needed mugs in a major rush (customer suddenly ordered 50 mugs (they forgot) - must be with them within 72hrs type of rush) and BMS couldn't deliver (they had run out) and I used one of the *other* suppliers, I had around 40 in stock of the BMS and needed another 10 but I thought I'd order 72 just to be safe and cover any issues with other customers. Upon arrival a full quarter were smashed, handles broken, chipped - the full gamut. On pressing the remainder they were so thin in comparison to the standard BMS ones they cracked/smashed (even exploding on three occasions) everytime I put a wee bit of pressure on them. After much trial and error of pressure and heat I got another 14 out of the two boxes. The supplier I must admit did give a full refund, and was very apologetic.

I started out with my sub kit from BMS along with my initial (small)stock and apart from my Maxx press everything else has come from them. I find the service and backup (information/advice/attitude) to be first class hence I have not bothered going elsewhere.

Like someone once said............"If it 'aint broke...don't fix it". Going elsewhere for supplies in order to 'possibly' save a few pennies is a false economy in my mind so I'll be sticking with BMS.

Well I've just run a few BMS mugs off to see how they perform, and I have to say there is a marked difference in consistency. Each one has come out exactly the same, I was cooking the others at 195c for 170 secs, but have found the 180/180 format works very well with the BMS ones.

The only thing (not specific to the mugs - more my technique!) is that I'm getting a very slight fuzzy edge, now being a novice, I'mnot sure whether that's too hot, too long, or too much pressure......it really is mkinimal on lettering, but of you get a smallish photo, then it shows....sort of like it's slightly out of focus.......any ideas from the pro's what I'm doing wrong??

If you're using a Ricoh drop the temp to 170 and the time to 120-140 seconds.

I always run my BMS mugs at 180/180 on my BMS press using BMS Trupix paper.
