Does anyone know how well, if at all polystyrene (hard not spongy like packing), polycarbonate or acrylic tumblers will sublimate? Not seen much in the way of plastic cups from the usual suppliers mentioned on here, just mugs and tipy cups so I have been looking at plastic cup suppliers and the above is what they tend to be made of.

Yep, they'll melt! You need to be looking at Polymer as an alternative if you're subbing yourself.

Does that mean only plastics in the polyester group will work? Do the acrylic clocks, keyring etc have a polyester coating then?

I have to say I dislike the fact that plastics sold for sublimation are refered to as polymer as that doesn't tell you want it is as all plastic are polymers.

I saw something like a tumbler before Christmas, but I cannot remember where just now. I think it was like those big coffee cups with a plastic lid on the top and I am sure it was for sub printing. If I remember where I saw them I will post back.

Yes those are the ones that I saw. I think it was at BMS when I was there getting some printable blanks before Christmas!

I was thinking more clear plastic hi-ball, pint and half pint. Although those could be fun to try some stuff with, haven't seen them on bms site but they do have them on xpres.
