Hi
What is the difference between the OKI laser printers I can buy from a normal printer supplier and BMS or TMT please?
Cheers

In reality....nothing.
They will tell you they have been specially developed yada yada but they have branded the drivers and thats about it.
We use standard Oki's and have done for years and years and they work just the same as the TMT ones!

Years ago, the OKI printers used by TMT were specifically modified by slowing them down but not anymore. I am using a 301 with third party toner (the cheapest I can lay my hands on!) and it works very well with TTC. I will say that I do lose perhaps about 3-5 sheets per 100 but I find that acceptable.
The key factor is to check with other suppliers of paper what models work. For example the 301 (about £94.00 + VAT) works with TTC but will not work with Target Transfers laser papers, but a better spec model will work with both.
