Hi,

I have a Ricoh SG3110DN and when I leave it on and the screen goes off, every so often I hear what sounds like the print head moving (i'm guessing thats the auto clean). I know there have been some problems with peoples ink disappearing from too many cleans and a firmware update fixes this. Problem is when I go to update the firmware, the file is a .exe and I am using a mac. I currently have firmware 2.0.4. What is the difference between 2.0.4 and 2.0.6? Is there a way to update it with a mac?

Thanks

Hi Luke,

No way to update from a Mac unfortunately as this is a similar situation to one i was in before. Probably the handiest thing would be if you've a friend or someone in the family with a Windows laptop, get them to bring it around for a few minutes. Only other way would be to install Windows in a partition on your Mac, using BootCamp, or something along the lines of VMWare Fusion.
