Re: Ricoh SG3110DN and iphone cases

Hi,
Hope you guys can help
I used to have an Epson WF3110DW which I used for sublimating iphone cases and was getting good results. A few months later I got some blocked nozzles which I just couldn't shift so I bought a Ricoh SG3110DN. I followed the installation instructions from Sawgrass and installed the Sublijet R colour drive ( I can't install power driver as I am using a mac) etc. If I select inkjet paper high quality as my media type as recommended by Sawgrass the image bleeds on the paper and the image comes out badly. If I select glossy paper I get great detail but the printer doesn't put enough ink on the paper and the transfer is very washed out, especially blacks. The only fix I can do is to print using the glossy paper setting and then put the paper back into the printer and print the same image on top to increase the amount of ink on the paper. That way I get good colour and decent blacks. Is there a way I can fix this? Also when I press I get a blotchy effect. Especially on solid colours.
I am using a Ricoh SG3110DN
The paper is from ebay
The phone cases are from a supplier in the UK
My laptop is a mac
Software is photoshop CS5
I am using 170-180 degrees and 50-120 seconds. All the same results.
I think it's the printer that's the problem because I got good results with the Epson
Thank you!
