I sold a t-shirt through Ebay Friday, had Ebay automatically set to contact buyers if payment is not received, this morning get a nasty message from the customer for Ebay contacting them, I explained that Ebay do this automatically and that it was fine but I needed to know the size t-shirt they require so as to be able to print it for them.
The customer then paid for the t-shirt though Ebay, leaves me shitty negative feedback ( our only negative feedback ever as we only ever receive positives ) and asks eBAY TO GET THEM A REFUND ??????
I Phoned Ebay and was told the waiting time was 2.5 hours due to a high call volume.
I can see it is going to be one of those days

This is one reason I gave up with Ebay many moons ago - way too much help to the people who don't bother reading your listings properly..

Thanks for the support guys, some people out there just do it to topple the 100% rating I guess
This line of work would be so much easier without the customers LOL, but then you get the customers who go out of their way to send you a photo of themselves wearing your work and it makes it all seem worthwhile

The what search engine?
Have they changed something?
That could explain why my main product selling on Ebay has slipped from top spot of Best Match to bottom of the page, or even second page (been top since November 2011). Seen my sales drop overnight. Did online chat with Ebay, and they weren't giving any helpful advice as to why I had suddenly dropped so much.

Ah, back at the top ... support guy told me to "wait a few days" and suddenly I am back, after changing nothing. I guess my complain and things I pointed out were taken into account and something was done. phew. Shame that I can see that other sellers have had my sales in this time though.

Yes lots of sellers in the same position listings dropping like stones.
They turned on the new cassini search engine last week (or week before) hasnt worked properly and everyone lost listing places, they turned it back off again 2 days ago apparently, listings going back up, BUT they are due to turn it back on again soon :frown:
coincided with the new badge thingy.
google cassini and ebay interesting reading.

And the last line in the new update from the ebay user agreement is a tad worrying
- Updates to listing conditions. To further create a marketplace where buyers find what they want and drive positive user experience, we updated the provision regarding listing conditions to recognize that the appearance and placement of listings in search and browse results will depend on a variety of factors. So, in some situations a listing may not appear in some search and browse results regardless of sort order.
