Can anybody help with info on how I could print, emboss etc silcone wrist bands? All I can find on youtube about it is massive machines in china being used! I did see on another link though was students choosing what they wanted lasored I think onto it and someone doing them immediately out of something as big as a printer. Any clues what that was or anything else? I've got two bands so far that I can get business from and a comedian. Also looking to do keyrings so any help on those would be good too, eg blanks and best way to do them. Sorry for all of the questions, but I'm full of them

Look for Pad Printers. Maybe search on fleabay or goggle. I looked into it last year. Can be relatively expensive with startup costs though. Heres just two examples.....

Leave it to a specialist.

The ink required to print these is a speciality ink because they are made of silicon. You can not digitally print them. I did print a few when I had a screen printing company. Essentially you need to flame the silicon first otherwise the ink will not adhere.

Good luck!

Nothing wrong with giving anything a go, I tried these bands using loads of different digital methods and it simply is not possible. Dye sublimation was the best result but leave the band 24 hours and the print simply vanishes. The only way is with screen print which I know a bit about from my time of owning a screen print company. But the whole process is a royal pain.

If you do manage to find a way of printing them digitally then let me know (no one else though as it would be worth a fortune LOL!!!)

So the WoW papers don't work? Even if you flame them first? Assume they are fine under heat as you mention subbing them.

My son wears some that he got from gigs. They are embossed with the bands names with ink inside them. I'm wondering if they are not silicone or maybe rubber? Haven't got a clue but I know I could flog loads of them if I could do them myself. This time next year we'll be millionaires! :o)

Not tried that but I would not see it working as the band stretches, transfers don't :-)

No these are the silicon wrist bands. They are made in China and shipped here. I think they pay about 37p for them. Its not impossible to do them here, you just need the specialist screen ink and the whole screen print set up.
