I am the proud owner of my very first sublimated mug. What a nerve wracking experience. Totally messed up with the timing control, forgot about the mug making the press go down in temperature, so had an initial panic that it was going wrong until I realised it was just heating up to temp again. All went well, but I cannot lie, I stayed well back in-case of any explosion haha.. The only thing that is wrong is where the print is, I need to adjust that as it didn't wrap the whole way round as image wasn't that massive so centered it looks a bit daft but awesome for my first time. Anyway, can't hang around, I've got mugs to press! Yay! Oh.. by the way, my XP-205 has earnt it's right to stay.

Looks really good. What you probably did not realise when you selected that image was the fact that blacks are notoriously difficult, so its actually even better than you think considering the nice blacks you have got.
Janners I think its
verves and not
nerves according to Geoff

Thank you all millions. The artwork is mine.. of course! Ok I lie.. I found it on ebay. Most of it is abstract which I'm hoping to do myself when I've mastered photoshop or coral draw. I must say though that even thoughmy printer came up trumps in the end I had to do a few nozzle checks and head alignment, so what I have read on hear about the Nichol (?) printers not getting the nozzle heads blocked it would definately save on ink. I've bought refillable cartridges and some unknown sub ink. Obviously it worked this time but for how long is another question. Also if it works for a long time I'd need the ink drainage system fitted. Can't believe how much I've learnt in such a short time.
Thanks again,
Julia

I use a Ricoh

printer purely because I can leave it for a day or two at a time (even weeks if it goes that way) and never *touch wood* had a problem with it. This appealed to me as I do a lot of vinyl work as well as sublimation and wouldn't therefore use the printer daily.. and like you mentioned didn't want any hassle from nozzle blockages etc..
