When I was first learning about sublimation etc I practiced on some cheapish mugs. They printed well and looked great. I know find several months later that some have the print actually wearing away. Is this because I used cheap sublimation mugs or because I possibly did something wrong? Sorry I don't have a picture to show you as mugs were given to sister who lives interstate.
Appreciate any feedback before I attempt them again.
Thanks

Just sounds like the coating wasn't as good as it could be. Many will fade after a while, a couple will offer a decent guarantee against fading providing you use specific inks etc.

Thanks... I didn't expect any great outcomes with my first attempts and wasn't planning on selling any of those cheap ones.. The cheap ones just gave me a chance to experiment ..family ended up with them!

Not sure who BMS is??? Thanks for your replies. My cheap mugs were a supa supa supa cheap and I didn't expect any great results. Just needed to get a feel of how it was done! Would rather wreck something worth a pitence when practicing than risk wrecking the good stuff. Thanks all.
