Hi there I've new to the tee printing business and I am having the issue of my design is stuck to the paper and nothing is being transfer'd to the Tee, I'm using 100% cotton tees but Poly-TW Spray coating. I have no idea what the issue is so I came here seeking expert advice.

I can't help with regards the coating you are using.. but I would be checking first that you are printing on the right side of the paper

I use Trupix and there is a dull cream side and a white side.. where printing is done on the white side.. but you can also tell which side to print on by grabbing the paper with a damp thumb/forefinger and picking up the paper at the corner.. the side for printing will be slightly tacky..

You have InkTec Sublinova Smart, so I am assuming you are obviously using a wide format printer.
Your sublimation paper is cheap, but should still work, at least to a degree, even if using the wrong side.
The only thing that may be wrong is the coating not working, or being used properly.
The best way for you to test is with something which is known to be polyester.
Make sure that your heat press is at 200 degrees Celsius, and press for 60 seconds.

I am sure there was a thread on here recently about this coating and saying something along the lines of you must DRENCH the t-shirt in this coating before pressing. Have a search around

How can he be using a wide format printer and show us A4 paper, something is obviously not right there and I know where my money would be...

Obviously no comment on the inks. I've tested the paper you're using and whilst it will transfer something it's probably the worst I've seen.

Ditch the coating and buy some polyester based shirts, the new Xpres ones are very good as are Vapor. I doubt you'll ever get a decent enough coverage to print onto cotton shirts and if you do at what cost? There are other options if it has to be cotton.

Wide format printers can feed in sheets (going down smaller than a4) although it is a sheet at a time you have to manually load, so a bit faffy ... I know artists who do this as they don't like the curl of paper from using a roll.

as long as the hanes tees are poly ones, otherwise the change in brands from one to the other if still 100% cotton will make little difference until you have got the coating application right, i would cut up a t shirt into smaller squares, and practice, if you intend to continue on the coated cotton t shirts, at least then wastage will be small until you get it right, but you will be amazed at the difference as others have said of using good paper

go to shop and buy any cheap fabric that is 100% poly ... cheap pillowcases or t-shirts etc, or 1 metre from a fabric shop for practising on.
