Hi Guys
If you are thinking of purchasing a new machine (whatever it is) and buying direct from China then I have started to see a few of them offering "BUY NOW & COLLECT @ FESPA" which means free shipping.
Could be worth a few bob if you are in the market for something new shiny and sparkly.
Don't forget that they do not want to take the machines back home so you could always risk purchasing on the day in the hope that you get there first.

I am planning on buying a few new machines at Fespa if the deals are there. Might need to make it a 2 day trip as I don't usually do on the spot decisions for kit. Can't wait for the show to come and go as I have been at standstill for the last few months with this show being in the UK. Should have bought some new kit already but frightened of missing out on something new and shiny which I haven't seen before at Fespa.

They'll have to be quick to get on a boat in time for the show now

The samples and machines sent to us for the FESPA show arrived today and they were sent around 5-6 weeks ago.

They are permanently on offer!

If you want the bigger A3 version then next week is the time to go for it as there are deals to be done when Sawgrass make the official announcement of the high capacity SubliJetR cartridges being available for the SG7100.

Hi Martin
Do you think Sawgrass will be dropping the price of the ink when the patent expires?
Am seriously considering wide format, but would rather not and prefer to stay with Sawgrass ink as it has always performed well for me. But the cost does make it quite expensive compared to investing in a wide format and a different ink supplier.

Have they got new patents on the Gel inks for sublimation? I assumed (could be wrongly) that they introduced gels printers for sublimation to move away from wide format regular inks. Is their patent going for everything on small format?
So you're fully in bed with Bestsub then Martin? I expect that might upset a few other UK suppliers with you on their stand

From what I understand (it's complex), there may be 'a' patent coming to the end of a protected life, but there are well in excess of 100 others which don't expire. I think Sawgrass have got this covered for many years if not decades to come!
