So after going to the P&P show at the NEC I came back and finally got on with sublimating and getting orders in. I had to learn the hard way on a few things especially how much really bad sub paper is out there. I recently changed to a larger printer for the t-shirts but last night i was looking at some large format printers... luckily the wife was very understanding and agreed with what i was looking and talking about.
So the first week i did some sample mugs i got an order in for 50 17oz latte mugs, then half a dozen give aways for a local deli. I then did a few t-shirt designs and showed them around and everything went crazy!!
I trained as a graphic designer and conceptual artist so it was great to get stuck back into something artistic again. I did a few more tshirts and now its going really well, i need to get an new profile done for the new printer i just got in and also for the large format i am going to look at next week.
Mugs i am getting excellent quality with and the trupix paper is amazing, here is one i did for a local florist:

The t-shirts are really good and going down well, here is one i did using a modified stock design. The shoulder image is heavily edited and modified.

I am really enjoying this now and am looking for more apparel to print to, now all i need is a large flat bed press that will do a whole tshirt side in one go that with the large format printer will be the icing on the cake!.
Just thought i would share with you guys.
thanks
