To be honest i think its time to give up sublimating slate. ive never had a crystal clear one, the pictures always look fine but no matter how i try i cant get rid of a residue appearance that is on the slate if you look at it under a certain angle or light. everyone ive done ive had to either give away or sell at cost price, lucky its only been to close mates so far but i cant see them helping the business out in any way if everyone has a slight fault.

Have you seen my slate video dave?
Glue thingy is a paper coating that sticks to slate. If you roasting your stone on over 200c and this happen go down to 195 or so... You can also try polish remover, aceton free would be good and try to take the glue off. It will come off.

Ok. So you can try on one bad one as iam not sure if it wont affect the colours. But you can also try to soak your slate in soupish water and then try to scrab glue off.

Are you using a silicone mat when you press these ?? I used to have my trupix stick to slates before using the mat.. as soon as I used that it stopped :)

Don't know why but saved me wasting slates..
