Hi

I'm planning on buying tagless shirts for my tshirt printing but was wondering if its possible to use sublimate on vinyl ribbon and use a cheap hand sewing machine, has anyone tried this?

unless you are good at sewing, they can look very very home made - proper labels in good quality shirts are put in under the neck seam, or at the same time as the neck seam. IMHO you would be better getting some transfers of your label made up by someone like rogerc and then pressing them in - much cleaner professional look

i thought about doing it in vinyl instead but worried it may be scratchy, thats why i thought about a hand sewing machine as i am useless at sewing myself but never used one and the reviews arent good apart from http://www.amazon.co.uk/eSecure-Portabl ... ng+machine i could get a bunch of screen printed labels and press them on the inside but trying to see how much i can do myself so can make my shirts to order. Also thought of using 3g jet opaque transfer but they are heavy hand and would be uncomfortable.

Thanks for always being helpful by the way :)

soulclaimed design your label then have it printed by someone using versacamm or similar - it wont work out at much per label, and there is no sewing involved, so you will get a very professional look - it will be just like a transfer, with as much detail as you want on it
