Placed an order for some vinyl earlier last week, should have arrived Fri/Sat but I allow an extra day due to our location before chasing.
Just chased the Supplier only to find out that the order was 'blocked in their system' and has now been released for delivery! They told me it had left last week!
I'm absolutely fuming. This was for a new customer that could potentially put a lot of business my way. This job HAD to be done for tomorrow so now I'm going to look like a bloody arse!
Waiting to hear from them again now but there's nothing much I can do. We can't guarantee overnight up here, it's 2-3 days
GGGGGRRRRRRR!!!

who was it Justin?
I know these things happen but we should name and shame just in case others are experiencing the same issues - otherwise it may look like an isolated incident when there could be others affected.
Just a thought

I agree with AdamB here and had a problem with a major supplier recently ... GRAFITYPE
Paid extra for a Saturday delivery for some vinyl but it was delivered to my ex business partner scum instead. Called them Tuesday (it was bank holiday Monday), they admitted they got it wrong and sent out a new order to arrive Wednesday PRE9. I asked for a same day to be sent but they said this was not possible as they do not have accounts with same day couriers (this was a lie as you will see...)
This second order arrived at 11.15 and was missing half the order including the item that I needed urgently.
Called them up and they said that TNT had lost it. Only this time low and behold they were going to arrange a same day delivery. Reading between the lines here the only reason they could arrange this was because it was not their fault this time. Had they set it up after the original cock up it would have cost them.
Was told that the driver was collecting before mid day.
I looked on Google maps and the time for the route was showing 2.5 hours. The item arrived at 4.30 which meant that my client's deadline passed and I lost the job.
Fortunately my clients are very understanding when things go wrong but I lost £500.00 profit on this job and although I have not bothered I am pretty sure that Grafitype would say "tough luck"
Really infuriates me when this sort of thing happens, not because of the mistake as none of us are perfect, but how you deal with a mistake is a true test of how good the supplier is. Because I like Siser vinyl I will have to stick to Grafitype but I now consider that my loyalty with them is shot.
BMS always send out tracking numbers as soon as an item is dispatched. This is something I really appreciate as it shows that the item has actually been sent out and I can track it without having to contact them. Suppliers need to start reading these forums and reacting to what the customers needs are. If not my favourite saying from Science will come to haunt them... "Adapt or Die"

Completely agree Adam, need to be named. This was Xpres I'm afraid. Used to buy from them as my main supplier as they were a mile down the road from my premises at the time. Stood by them even when they wouldn't let me collect, lol. Service was always good, tech support excellent but things seemed to slip and I moved my business away. Still, I wanted to use their vinyl as I had a small stock of the same to work with so thought, what the heck, give them another go....oh well.
Several phone calls later I was still waiting to hear if they could express some vinyl to Aberdeen as they weren't sure if they could! Whilst waiting for a call back I took a decision, placed an order with Target Transfers, TNT delivery to Aberdeen tomorrow, on the boat tomorrow night, I'll get the job completed on Wednesday and customer is happy with that! Fingers crossed
OK, this was a small order but this (in my book) at least is irrelevant. I treat every customer in the same way regardless of their spend.

+1 for MDP...only new to this, but have placed two orders to date and both arrived very quickly, and very happy with the vinyl quality too.
