Hi Dave. The cheapo I bought last year from THE auction site came with software. I also have another good brand but couldnt figure out which settings to use as my machine wasnt listed in their software. I just mailed the seller of the cutter and asked him. He replied with the solution. Apparently a lot of the chinese cutters are based on the same, if not identical hardware and software. For example, Xpert use the same components as the Liyu and the Ramtin. I have the Ramtin and haver it set up under the Xpert settings. Works a treat. I would advise to ask the seller first which software is compatible to be on the safe side.

artcut will be half descent and cheapest software that work with most cutters. As arco mentioned they all based on similar hardware so should work.
I would recommend flexiStarter as i use it my self and find it excellent.

i cut from signblazer, used to have the full version, but the owner died, and updates etc dont happen so when computers were upgraded ended up using the now free one, couple of the features are not there, but TBH its still a cracking programme, make sure you download the patch as well that stops the endless "free trial counter" that will slow you down
