Anybody ever dealt with this cowboy outfit and joke of a website. custom-vinyls.co.uk

Order something from them on 19th november 2012.

4 weeks later not recieved and he said he had sent it recorded so would send another out. Had to wait for approval of loss via royal mail first.

2 weeks later not got the second batch and he claimed to send another batch out.

3 weeks later he sent another lot out... apparently..

i contacted him via email 3 times after this and heard nothing and then as soon as i filed a complaint with paypal he emailed back saying that he could not send another out unless i cancel complaint and that we would send on next day delivery.. now i was sceptical at this point but went against gut feeling and cancelled the claim.

Nothing ... not received.

called paypal who did not want to know as apparently you cannot open a complaint again.. idiots.. why?

kicked off with custom-vinyls.co.uk and they said they had been in touch with paypal who advised them to wait 3 month from date of purchase before he can make refund... aint got a clue why.

So 19th feb - 3 month later.... cant get hold of the guy and not responding by email.

Advised by paypal to report him to http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/


So this is what i have decided to do.. Name and Shame Time... Infact i am going to dedicated my next website project to custom-vinyls.co.uk on how crap they are and that they are complete scammers.

Lets put it this way.. the £50 they owe me will cost them alot more than that in the long run by the time i have finished.

Anyway... any body know who owns this company or anybody had any dealings with them before.

Im guessing they are from sheffield due to the stuff they sell on there website... Ummmm actually wonder if sheffield wednesday know about him doing prints of there football team...

If you go on their website all it says is..

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP, ALL CURRENT ORDERS WILL BE COMPLETED BY PREVIOUS OWNER.

I was just going to put under new ownership, hope you get your order sorted but it not looking good. sorry. Still under new ownership it pays to stay well away.

Interestingly an old screen shot of their site looks exactly the same as {wrong site} which is still up. Both domains registered to the same person to.

Can anyone remember where they were based on the address out of interest.

Reason I ask is because some companies trade under several different names and it would be wise for us to know which address to steer clear of.

The original site was up when i wrote this post and was up yesterday as well.
Seems the threatening emails may have done the trick. Nobody wants a customer knocking on there door demanding there money back which is what i said will happen and will happen.
I live not far away from sheffield which they are based. Just need to double check the paypal address.

If they think they can get away with this then its not gonna happen. I will get my £50 back one way pr another.

Gonna check into the customvinyls site mentioned. Will use a differant email and see if it is same person and if it is then guess what. Yep i will hound his website too. Lol

under new management my arse. You dont close down a site because its under new management you keep site open and announce on website. Or redirect website to new website.

Definatley a dodgy dealer. Might even drop a call to tax man just to check they are legit. Lol

Yep just like other site. This is a definate site nobody wants to be dealing with even if it is not same person. Once i fully investigate and make sure my facts are right i will post findings here.

Gonna have to report to police website as he is clearly a con man anyway and thinks he can get away with it. NOT.

If you log onto http://www.customvinyl.co.uk/ and look ont the news section the last entry was in 2011, then if you look into the FAQ section , Refunds and returns, and How to apply vinyl, it comes up up with the latin gabbage that is in those sections when you start building the site.
How professional lis that?
