DSF

Just had a look around the forum, and noticed there was no about us/general information page on the forum - if you visit the site as a newbie/guest, the first page doesn't give you any insight into what DSF is about or why we are here, you are just straight into the list of the various fora (is that the plural of forum?!)
Maybe a front page with welcome message and breif synopys of what this is all about would be good addition?

Just thinking out loud really, and obviously only my opinion - wondering what others thought.

If the welcome page goes ahead, then there could be links from this to a "FAQ sections", "The Forums", and maybe a wiki

Some years ago there was a post where many of us posted an intro about ourselves, was a great read and good to get to know what others did behind the scenes. Must try and didg it up.... my life has certainly changed since then.
