Hello everybody.

So some time now i have been having an issue with fading on the edge of the design right hand side.
It is only noticeable on dark colours.
I have moving the mug to the left and right in the mug press and has no effect. I use a coralgraph 4.

I then thought it was the blanket and bought a new one. No differance.

I use bms european mugs so do see an issue there. I also use xpress paper which i have used from day one.

I press at 185 for 225 seconds which is same ad 180 180. I just dont wait to start the timer when mug has reached 180 thats all.

Anybody any ideas on how to solve.


Ohh yes. My designs are approx 15mm from the handles either side.

to close to the handle. try 20mm and more pressure. try to press mug don when closing your press.

200 x 90mm max for images and you get good all round pressure.

Yeah my images are no bigger than 200 wide and 90 in height.
The pressure i am using is medium to high also.

The fading is only on the right of the handle and not on left. Very strange.

The simple solution MAY be that the clamp is not tight enough.

The work around solution MAY be that you could try 240 seconds @ 180 degrees once the timer has hit 180 to see if that makes a difference.

The expensive one MAY be that the clamp has gone and you need a new one.

Umm ok will give that ago. Its defo not the clamp. Its a coral4 and only 6 months old and the clamp is defo clamping. Lol

Try turning the mug half way through

I would check how evenly the element clamps over the mug. There is a good chance that the front of the clamp might have one side further forward than the other distributing uneven pressure. The CG style of press is quite cheaply made and yhat will make it harder quite often to get a good print. Got a cg one myself and it is nowhere near as good as my others. The elements rarely seem to sit fully uniformed around the mug.
