I have been pressing coasters. One out of three have a smudged look on one part. Once out of the press if you look at the subli paper that had the image, it looks as though it is damp, whereas the rest of the image is even and consistent. I can't work out what I am doing wrong as some are produced perfectly. When I put it in the press I use baking paper top and bottom! The baking paper normally has a square of excess inks on it, where the smudge is, there is not excess ink!
Is it right to use baking paper or should I buy the proper stuff, if so what is it called. I am not using Teflon Paper either!

Hi,

I pressed one at a time. I put the coaster in the press when it has reached the minimum temperature, it then increases to max temp. then counts down. I am not aware that I am pressing to get rid of moisture because I didn't know you had to or how to.

Thank you for your replies.
