I'm aware that it's possible to sub onto metal blanks. This is a job which I'd like to send out to someone or one of you!
My question, is it possible to cut these metal blanks to a precise size? I would also need rounded corners, is this even possible?

Yes and Yes. Any square edged size within the 600 x 300mm sheet and rounded corners ......... 5 mm radius or thereabouts.

56mm x 108mm with rounded corners is precisely what I need and very thin metal.
What kind of thickness is available? How sharp are the images and are there any examples I can see online.
I'm quite surprised that the corners can be rounded? Is this done by the end user or the company supplying the metal blanks?

You can buy corner rounders and metal shears. Their not cheap but open up a new market if you have work for that type of product. 56 x 108mm is straight forward. We make fridge magnets at a slightly smaller size than that. Thickness is 0.5mm on standard sheets but the slightly thicker version is 0.7mm. All prints well and a few different finish options.

We can do this for you too. 0.5mm aluminium with either 3mm or 5mm radius corners. Pricing depends on quantities, but we are only in St Neots so not far from you. Happy to post samples if required.
