I have two questions for the more experienced people on this forum:
I am using an Xpres (Adkins) Mug press and Xpres Sublimation paper and print with a Ricoh 3110DN printer using the recommended Sawgrass inks.
Q1. Do you recommend the use of baking paper between the mug and the blanket? I have heard about the spread of ink if you don't use paper (some people use ordinary plain paper).
Q2. Do you soak the mugs in lukewrm water directly from the mug press - or do you wait an amount of time before soaking them, or at all?
Your advice would be most welcome.

I make sure I have full paper coverage of my mugs so I don't use anything extra. Regarding water, I just take mine from straight the press and lower it slowly into luke warm water. Never had any problems with this method.

Same as Roger, although I plunge mine in quickly.

I find rt hat the image doesn't bleed through with xpres paper so no need to use other paper. I dip straight away to avoid blurring.

I do neither!
Image is cut to size, wrapped round the mug and put in as is. Even if the image is only 30mm deep for example.
Once pressed I peel off and then leave to stand for as long as it takes to cool down. Never have used water and never had a problem.
I am using a Ricoh printer, Trupix paper and UKHeatpress 5 at once mug press

after...never had a bleed problem and it's nice and cool after so no singed fingers peeling off a hot mug. It works for me.
