Hi all, i was asked to print these colors on polyester for some one to match the colors they wanted as these are the main ones used by them but once pressed they were different and when shown to the person they weren't to happy. These are the all the setting i use from corel. could some one please tell me where im going wrong or whats happened. Thanks.

Just a guess at this. You have gone through a number of profile settings before getting to Powerdriver. It might be an idea to go directly to Powerdriver and print from there as it 'should' do the necessary conversions there. It might be a case of too many settings before getting to Powerdriver for printing and in doing so you might have 'overridden' or confused the Powerdriver settings. When I print from Corel I simply go to 'print' select Powerdriver and print from there without the processes you seem to have gone through. Also you need to bear in mind that unless the colours were to be matched on the same material there will be a degree of difference due to the material being printed on having an effect on the finished colours.

First thing is you have colour settings as RGB, your printer will print in CMYK, hence a colour correction occurs there.
Currently away with family hence banned from working.......address that first.
Not saying it is the answer. It is what I would do first.

Thanks for your replies, just noticed i for got say that all the setting shown are matched to the sawgrass instructions on how to set it all up to begin with http://sawgrassink.indigofiles.com/prod ... _X5_PD.pdf, its just the last couple of things ive been asked to do have come out with different colors and wondered why all of a sudden its doing it.
Jmugs ive always thought you used RGB for sublimation as thats whats most people use, am i wrong?
Roger the color shouldnt change that much though as in the picture on the purple under the green and orang botton left, I can understand a little difference on each material being pressed but not that much. It was all working fine the other day with pressed colors matching what was on screen.. im lost now lol so going to have a beer and start looking for presents for my sons birthday

Can you confirm that this is a new problem that's just occurred, in that your printer has started printing colours wrongly where it was printing fine before, or is it that your printer is printing the same, and that you're only just realising now that it's colours aren't as accurate as you thought now that you've got a job where you need to colour match?

Hi Pisquee, I can confirm that it is a new problem as the orange in the bottom left is used on their logo what has been pressing correct on the phone cases and other bits ive done for them, i also checked the rgb color swatch what i done a while back and they aren't matching now for some reason.

Have you got a perfect nozzle check pattern?
Have you recently put any new inks in the printer?
Assuming that you haven't changed any of your colour management settings then those should be fine, as is printing as RGB, as that is what the print driver will expect.

just done the nozzle check along with the print primary and all printed of spot on, just going to press them on to polyester to see how they come out, Im still on the same set of carts what i bought from bms so that can eliminate that problem. Im quite interested to see if the print primary magenta matches the magenta in corel now

Ive just deleted and re installed every thing and going to print the same colors i posted before to see if there is any difference

Can you try using the appropriate Sawgrass printer ICC in Coral and bypass PowerDriver?
