Need help for Printing

I have some t-shirts and i want to apply vinyl or any other prints. I am finding any simple and cheap way. My friend saying me that just buy a steam paper and choose print and apply it on t shirt or buy a fabric colors and make hand printing. but i don't know how i can do it, because i don't have any experience. Please recommend me any solution.
I need your opinions please.

Vinyl you'd need a cutter and a heat press, sublimation you'll need a supported printer with inks as well as the heat press.

cheapest solution if you already have the t shirts and they are cotton would be paper transfers, if you have an epson printer with durabrite inks.
