I have been doing sublimation; mugs, photo blocks/easels, some sublimation t shirts and some flock.

I have now been asked by a friend of a family member who has his own gym and training business to print some t shirts and hoodies for his business, customers request is as follows:

"well to outline the plan. we are looking at sponsoring amateur/novice athletes in sports ranging from strongman to athletics, so we would be after tshirts/hoodies on an individual basis for them as and when we sign people. Not ideal I know, but the problem is knowing sizes to order etc.

Then we are also after generic tshirts/hoodies to sell on the site to all members. Rough estimate would be small, maybe 30 tshirts, 10-15 hoodies."

i'm thinking contour cut flock or vinyl would be best for this as some of it will be adhoc requests other than the small bulk order, my question is how much should i charge for this?

To give some idea of requirements the logo is built up of blue, white and silver text, i'm aware there is a silver vinyl available however i could just print as a gradient on flock.

As im new to this im finding it difficult to work out a reasonable price including the clothing

The same costs for materials will apply to you and the next man offering such a service given the quantities you are looking at. The only main difference between you and your competition are these two factors: your overheads/profits and any discounts from suppliers you have.

Really and truly only you can work out what to charge; unless you want to give us a complete breakdown of your overheads, your negotiated discounts with suppliers, time it takes you to design, cut, weed, press a design and the percentage profit you want to make on each sale. The downside of providing that information is that your competitors will know exactly your set up.

the generic items they are selling on the site, i would personally price up to make as they are sold, after all whats the point of them holding stock when you can drop ship the items to them. the easiest way to do it is to price them up as individual prices, and then offer them a monthly money back offer, so if in a month they sell 50 shirts, you refund them backon the following months orders from costing say £8 ea to £5 ea, that way everyone wins, if you give them your best price and in 6 months you have made 20 items at your "best prices" you will be the looser, but if you make items and sell them in bands, A,B,C and then you can adjust the price accordingly,
