Hi,

I'm Mark and I run a promotional print business called Farndon House based in Chester.

I wish to grow the sublimation print side of my business, an area to which I have not devoted as much time to as I should have if I'm honest, but would welcome the support and experience of fellow forum members in this area. Currently I run an epson 4880 printer with sawgrass inks, various heat presses and mug press.

My day to day business comprises of overseeing garment decoration including embroidery, screenprint, transfers, cad cut vinyls and direct to garment (dtg) printing. I also run wide format print and cut machines (Mimaki and Roland) for the production of banners, exhibition stands, posters, stickers and signage, these are also used for the production of garment transfers. My screenprinter is also used for the printing of cotton bags which are imported in volume and then printed on demand. Another busy area of the business is promotional merchandise, the usual kind of stuff such as pens but also importing directly from the Far East more niche products such as lanyards, pin badges and bespoke medals.

Being in the business some 17 odd years now, I'd like to think I can share some of my experience with members. A lot of mistakes have been made along my journey to where I am now, hopefully I can help people avoid a few of the same pitfalls.

Mark.
