Hello everybody

well my epson s22 has been down with an error for weeks now with the waste ink tank full.
So i emptied the waste and cleaned it out thinking that would be the end of that.

Nope still the error. However i managed to find some software that resets the counter. Think it is some sort of software that engineers use. Anyway i have this software which might i add does not require a key to unlock.

It works on epson s22 and apparently loads of other epsons also.

If anybody wants the software then pm me and i will send you via email so please leave your email also.

I can post in forum if it is ok with moderators but im not sure how legal the software is.

I would imagine it may be SSC Service Utility which I have been using for years on my Epsons

Does the SSC utility you have worthdoingright work on s22.

@meldean No idea if it works on the S22 as never tried to use it on one. I use it on the older Epson printers I own.

The SSC utility works on most Epson printers but not the 7 pin chip variants. There is a free piece of software that will reset the waste tank on the 7 pin chips. We've had the link to this on our FAQ "My computer is telling me that "parts inside the printer need replacing" or my printer has stopped printing and I have red lights flashing alternatively..." for a couple of years now.

Ok the name of the software is just called Epson Reset Software.

only reason i decided to put a post on it is because i did loads of searches on google for epson ink waste reset and all that came up was programs that required a purchased key and then i stumbled across this one. Lol

anyways atleast people have 3 sources in the forum now. I do know that this does work on S22 for defo and also SX models apparently but i cannot say as i have not tried on SX models.

i was reading your original post, and i have stumbled upon the same problem, wondering if you could give me some help. i have an epson s22 and the amber light is constantly flashing i recently downloaded the ssc utility 4.30 but couldnt get it to work, the utility see's it as an installed printer, but it is not listed in the supported printer tab. could anyone be kind enough to send me a copy of the epson reset program that you have? many thanks in advance.

I know this is old thread but you are totally right these kind of tools are known as resetters or adjustment programs. I have personally used the WIC Reset Utility and few other Epson Resetters. In short, these tools reset your printer back to the default settings. Therefore, you can solve different kind of error messages shown during the printing process.

yeh i got it free using google, some are trying to sell it on ebay haha
