Just posted 2 today - £2.70 first class, in 1 jiffy bag

the lady said if the package had been flatter and got though her fake letter box, it would have been 90p :rolleyes:.

how the hell can you flatten 2 animal keyrings... impossible.

so question is, i,m i gonna get charged £2.70 for sending 1 of these things ? :rolleyes:...cause its still bulky


what are the rest of you paying for these - postage wise

Unless it will fit though the 25mm slot then Royal Mail will charge a 'packet' rate as opposed to a large letter. Could have stopped the sentence after 'packet' really!

I have just had this with a customer about a dog tag I sent out.. simple small envelope with a dog ID tag in a ziplock bag.. and it went through as a large letter because it wouldn't 'slip' easily through the letter box guide !!

I had to send one keyring the other day, I did consider squashing it between two pieces of cardboard and taping it to keep it flat, but wasn't sure what the customer would think of it arriving like that.

I sell them and send them 2nd class @ £2.20 in a clear bag inside a plastic mailing bag. Teddys are the most sticky out because there sitting. Nearly squashed the footballer through, but its not worth it, if you customer gets charged the other end. RM put on extra £1 for under postage as well as the extra postage.

We do not charge just for postage, we charge for postage and packing. Why do customers moan about postage when they always discount the cost of the jiffy bag, bubble wrap, parcel tape, fragile tape and packing and addressing time from their minds. It is a shame that even the lightest bulky items now cost over £2 to send.

wonder if customers would mind if i stick the animal keyrings under the flat press for 10sec before sending

include small straw like in kiddy drinks so they can stick it up the... animals and pump it back to the original shape

Tell them they need to dunk it in a cup of boiling water and it will pop back to its proper shape. Any of you remember all those dinky car sponges that were about 0.5cm thick by about 2cm x 2cm that when dunked in water became a full size car sponge? Now there are a number of kids items that when placed in water 'grow' in size.
