My son (19) has won a place at the worlds toughest mudder event, which unfortunately for my bank balance is held in NJ, so tomorrow i am having to fly out to the States to be with him and watch him compete this coming weekend. weather there is much the same as here at the moment although there is still quite a lot of damage from the hurricane. have a bit of shopping lined up, and trying to plan a bit more in so at the moment we are planned till monday then hopefully nipping down to Philadelphia for him to have his photo taken on the "Rocky steps" then back up to NYC for a final couple of nights before flying home.

Things a mum has to do to support her son

Hubby is staying home to keep up the business - so if he gets stuck i expect he will be on here asking for help - be kind :biggrin:

i think thats what my mum said when she sent me over the money for my flight to go with him :biggrin: my parents are lovely people - could not have afforded it this year without their help especially as we have only had a months notice that he qualified

and take your plastic with you. - you will spend the like a son of a over there - i did yrs ago... food is so cheap, and you get sooooo much of it
