17 seconds seems a long time, try 12 seconds and peel when properly cool not warm

Hi, I've never come across any flock that is hot peel, and I've used it from various sources, I tend to stick to these settings and don't normally have any issues, incidentally I also use quite heavy pressure as well, give it a try see how you get on.

If like me you buy a range of sign vinyl and t-shirt vinyl etc then MDP supplies is a good one stop shop.
Their flock is here:
http://www.mdpsupplies.co.uk/proflock.asp
They recommend 170C for 10 to 15 secs and
COOL peel

Definitely COOL peel for flock, i use this often & have never come across a warm peel as Jason says!
Is your carrier tacky or not, if tacky then when you are weeding there may be a few residual specks retained by it.

Cool peel! the glue must set so when you pull the backing off the fibres break leaving the velvet effect. Depending on make 160- 170 degress 15-20 seconds will usually work.

I trim the edges with scissors before pressing as I found I was getting the same issue, I figured it was where I was slicing the vinyl with a blade off the roll. Trimming again with scissors seems to eliminate this problem.
(I use the mdp flock 160 for 15 secs and cool peel)
