Is there any guidance on how long I can leave it between printing a batch of logos for mugs and actually pressing them, ie print out one day and press in a week's time?

Regards,

Jason

Printing out and pressing in a weeks time will be fine. Most recommend placing something bewteen each sheet to keep them seperate and also some keep them in zip lock bags etc but if you search you will find previous threads regards this

Hi JBr

I have printed, cut and stuck under the press inside 1 minute before as I had a deadline.

I also have loads of printed sheets (a few less since Craig visited!!!), some of which are over a year old now. I use these if I need to test anything and they alway print fine also.

Does this depend on what printer/inks you are using? I have a ricoh & using xpres paper & have been told that you should print the mug within 10mins of printing onto the sub paper - is this not true?

Hi Zai2289

Yes and no, for optimum results then the times given are probably correct. I use a Ricoh and Tru Pix paper and as my original post says, I have no problems pressing immediately or leaving them for six months

Ok, thanks socialgiraffe! glad to know i'm not rushing through things for no reason
I have however, thrown away prints that i did the day before thinking they would be no good - rather frustrating.
Is there a 'correct' way to store printed sub paper?

Ideally is some sort of sealed folder.

however mine simply sit in an A4 ring binder in sleeves that open at the top. Never had a problem

I've found the Xpre paper can bleed if left for a while, that said, I sometimes leave for a couple or more days and it's fine...longer periods may be an issue.
