Say you want to print a run with an image shape that would allow several copies on one sheet of A4, but only if each image was split into 2 or 3 separate areas.
Having printed off the run, you then need to lay out the 3 pieces in a consistent pattern before printing.
Is this an accepted technique, never done, or a PITA but doable ?

If you can position them accuratley then you could sublimate them as a single transfer - but it is the positioning that you would have to get right. Also sublimation paper is only around 15p per sheet for good quality paper so maybe just worth printing one design per sheet

Morning Richard, and thanks for the info.
I think I've been mixing up the cost of sublimation paper with hot transfer paper, which I believe if more expensive ?
Certainly, at that price the time involved costs more than the paper, so another step up the learning curve !

Well A4 sublimation paper per 100 sheets costs from under £10 to around £16 per 100. Most people use the cheaper Xpres (about £9 from BMS) or the Tru-pix paper (about £16 from BMS).
So yes it is significantly cheaper than t-shirt transfer paper.
