Hi all, have a friend who has asked if it is possible if I could remove a name from a t shirt I made for him last year. (Girlfriend problems). Haven't worked out how yet though. Any suggestions.

there is a remover, however it will spoil the shirt, for printing over you can try nail varnish remover, again will spoil shirt - either layer over or i would personally tell him not to be a cheap skate and buy a new shirt its a year old and probably done at mates rates

Also, apart from changing the shirt as mrs maggot suggests....tell him not to change girlfriends as often as he changes his Tees!

I had to do something similar and found after a bit of research that nail polish remover (as long as it contains acetone) works. However, on one top I had used two different vinyls (red & white) and one came off easily with nail polish remover and one didn't - but it is a cheap alternative that is worth a go.

Badge Remover from ETC supplies works well with some vinyl, - not at all with others. can leave a slight mark, - but has got me out of trouble on many occasion!

any of the vinyl removers will work - but the concern is on a garment thats now a year old getting new vinyl to go over a worn/washed area thats also had vinyl remover on it.... your asking for trouble - follow the purple dragon on this one :)
